Mélange Guidelines

Mélange is where people come to achieve their best health and wellness. With over 20 years of medical and military experience, our mission is to provide the highest quality massage services that focus on medical massage and self-care. With a self-care routine being the priority for our extended family, our goal is provide a preventive based massage routine with three key guidelines: Informed Consent, Intuitive Pacing, and Sensitive Pressure.

With these guidelines in mind, it is our goal to provide our guests with optimal results through continued massage sessions that will retrain the physical and mental of your body.

Informed Consent

Let's say you come in with shoulder pain. Your specialist will engage the upper back with mobility techniques that involve the shoulder, arm and chest to increase flexibility while decreasing painful movements throughout.

We will communicate when certain areas require more focus or if your engagement during some techniques will help improve symptoms.

Intuitive Pacing

When pain is seen in its true role as the messenger and not the affliction itself, treatment can be directed to the cause of pain (Davies & Davies).


If an area seems especially tender that is relevant to your initial complaint, we will slow down to explore tight areas that may need more work than other regions.

Sensitive Pressure

Our number one priority is providing a intentional treatment through massage. Not through the amount of pressure, but via the right amount that is specific to your comfort.


It is common to have different levels of sensitivity to massage as repeated visits will help the body acclimate your body.

Currently the VA offers health incentives to include medical based massage to veterans. Reach out to your VA provider to learn how massage treatment could benefit your symptoms.
